TA Reached with Millwright Employers Association

The PNWRCC and the MEA have bargained in good faith and have developed an agreement that the parties feel have met and or exceeded the goals and intents stated in the letter below. The MEA has a long term track record of working with the Union (SWRCC and the Northern California Regional Council of Carpenters {NCRCC}) and in those jurisdictions have been successful in expanding market share in the General Construction and the Maintenance markets over the course of the last decade.

For example in Northern California records show a 658,049 increase in Maintenance hours in the 9 year period which started at 746,496 hours in 2005 with a gradual increase and hitting the high mark of 1,404,545 hours in 2014. That is over $30,000,000.00 increase in wages and benefits for our members which directly accounts for expanded market share.

The Members of the Union Bargaining Team agreed with the outcome of the Bargaining Session and strongly support a “yes” vote.
