Grit

THE NORTHWEST CARPENTERS UNION
DIGITAL NEWSLETTER

You may be asking, “Why, Grit?” To have grit means to have strength, courage, and determination. It is a word that describes our union and members. Every day on job sites, we face challenges, and everyday Union Carpenters persevere. Our organization faces adversity from many sources and many directions, yet we stand resolute.

Grit is also a piece of a whole. As Union Carpenters, we are bound by a passion to strengthen the working conditions and lives of all carpenters. We are a movement. We have grit. Together, we affect positive change for ourselves, our families, our communities, and carpenters everywhere.

Our Regional Council covers over 1.1 million square miles in six states. That is a lot of work to cover at union meetings, on job sites, and in the Northwest Carpenters magazine. With Grit, we are excited to reach a broader audience on a regular monthly basis.

We hope you enjoy the first edition of Grit. The more we share our carpenter story, the more we strengthen our organization.

Have a great Thanksgiving weekend.

In solidarity,
Northwest Carpenters Union
