A Council covering all 50 states, the CIC represented workers in industries such as plywood and cabinet manufacturing and mills. CIC members will be placed in Regional Councils based on their geographic location. The 4,000 members residing in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Wyoming will now be covered by the Pacific Northwest Regional Council (PNWRCC).

Veresen, Inc.; the project owner/ developer, has the opportunity to appeal the FERC decision and plans to do so after the recent announcement on March 22nd that it has finalized the key commercial terms with JERA Co., Inc. (“JERA”) in respect of the long-term provision to JERA of natural gas liquefaction capacity at the Jordan Cove LNG facility. The preliminary agreement covers the purchase by JERA of at least 1.5 million tonnes per annum of natural gas liquefaction capacity for an initial term of 20 years. This agreement is subject to customary conditions including the execution of a detailed liquefaction tolling agreement, which Veresen and JERA will continue to work together to conclude, and the project obtaining applicable regulatory approvals. Negotiations for the remaining liquefaction capacity are ongoing with other parties.

For example in Northern California records show a 658,049 increase in Maintenance hours in the 9 year period which started at 746,496 hours in 2005 with a gradual increase and hitting the high mark of 1,404,545 hours in 2014. That is over $30,000,000.00 increase in wages and benefits for our members which directly accounts for expanded market share.

The Members of the Union Bargaining Team agreed with the outcome of the Bargaining Session and strongly support a “yes” vote.
